The Aluminum Fowl
The Aluminum Fowl (2006) (13 mins 05 sec). Directed by James Clauer. The first film to be produced by Harmony Korine and Agnés b's production company, O'Salvation. Reviewed thus, on the South X Southwest website;
"The Aluminum Fowl is an unusual portrait of four brothers living on a chicken farm in Rural Louisiana. Rich in texture and ambiance, this film explores issues of violence and poverty, while also giving an interesting glimpse of the brothers' daily obsessions with chickens, rap music, and aliens."
Or perhaps rather, 'Gummo does Amores Perros with chickens, in black Louisiana, with a hint of Sun Ra.' Also recalls David Gordon Green's excellent film 'George Washington' from 2000. A proud Nashville article on Clauer, who was formerly the cinematographer on Gummo, can be found, here.
